Cambodia Photos: Day 1

Since I have a little internet access (here at this lodge in New Zealand- refer to diaryland entry as linked below) and a bit of time on my hands, I thought I might put up those AhMahrazzi photos here. Of course I won't put them all up because it will take too much time, but I'll go by day and see how many I can get up here at a go.

Day 1: 3/6/06

This is the view from inside the bus when I first saw the centre. Yes, we did stay in a building that housed a school...

The facade of the building, a converted hotel which now houses a school (pre-school and primary), guest rooms, and a church.

The lovely 'view' outside my window...

Looking up from the courtyard on a sunny day...

This is the landscape surrounding the first orphanage we visited. Very "The Grass is Singing" landscape, no?

This is the top of the swings at the orphanage...

Some random but lovely clouds...

A macro of the thatch, which is just interesting to look at...

More pretty thatch. one of my favourite photos. I like how the blue stands out against the black silhouette. The only annoying thing is the lens smudge which I can't seem to get rid of even with my spectacle cloth. And I'm too lazy to go and remove it with Photoshop...at least until I install it that is.

A wall and this blue thing which I have no idea of it's function...I just liked the lighting.

The wonderful combination of shadow and sky...last photo for today!

I hope you enjoyed that. It's been a little tedious uploading all these photos...and still 7 days more photos PLUS New Zealand. My little portfolio will be quite full!
